Internally this copy is nice but the covers are soiled and worn.portrait vignettes, full-page, and double-page illustrations--by this most famous of Western artists, accompanied by verses by the author of the prototype Western novel, The Virginian. Included is a double-page spread in color, "Caught in the Circle: the last stand of three troopers and a scout overtaken by a band of hostile Indians" which is everything a Remington should be. Folio. Original pictorial boards, cloth spine, somewhat worn, Edges of boards are worn through in several places on top and bottom. Corners bumped and worn through. Binding cracked and loose at ffep. Pages clean and all intact.
